Sailing to Cadboro Bay (in Victoria, BC, Canada)

Still at the southern tip of Vancouver Island, we sailed to Cadboro Bay (in Victoria, BC, Canada), the native ground of the Songhees Nation. I was hoping we could anchor here for a week, but the weather forecast altered our plans twice. So, instead, I stared longingly each time we passed this round bay that I find so peaceful … that makes me so happy … when encircled by it. For Cadboro Bay is where the captain rows us to shore in the dinghy, and I walk to the beautiful Moka House to gather their exquisite vegan (+gf) Ucluelet Bars. Then I cross the street to the markets, to fill two tote bags at a time with heavy provisions—nuts, beans, buckwheat, kalamata olives, ice, plus much more. And the captain genuinely enjoys rowing those heavy bags back to the boat, over and over, two at a time. I am so grateful. I still have photos from last year.
