Sailing to Montague Harbour (in British Columbia, Canada)

As soon as we heard gusty weather would hit just about everywhere in British Columbia, Canada, for the next five days, we sailed straight to Montague Harbour. Montague Harbour Marine Park was the nearest harbour where we could tie up to a buoy for a longer stay. As we arrived, only a few buoys were still available—with two boats trailing us. Smiling and nodding, we all tied up. I was so happy. We were held securely in the wind for days. Afterward, a soft fog floated in and hovered right above the water, bringing so much peace. We rowed the dinghy to the marina, chatted with others on the dock, enjoyed the impeccable grounds, and shopped the marina’s tiny general store. I was so grateful to find just enough vegan (+ gf) food to replenish our supplies.
