Sailing Back to Canada

After an endless flurry of sailing tasks—many completed, some still mid-project, all of them too much to allow for socializing—I had to hop aboard my partner’s sailboat to sail back to Canada. In the early morning hours, we untied before the marina awoke and quietly slipped out under the cloudy skies that promised eventual sunshine. Truly exhausted and unsure where we’d be at any given moment, we couldn’t commit to anyone or anything. But we knew they’d understand. They know we will be close (so grateful for telephone, text, and online right now). They know we are here for them the moment they need us. They know we love them.
