While still roaming around Seattle, I felt fortunate to have noticed this New Seasons Market that was fresh to the Ballard neighborhood. I can't believe this company is the world's first grocer to earn a B Corporation certification.
Their wildflower rooftop was a sight to behold, which my cell phone sadly could not capture. So please envision its stunning beauty, directly above this, their indoor/outdoor food and beverage bar.
Their indoor/outdoor food and beverage bar is where they made drinks like this (vegan) matcha tea. Their smoothies looked amazing, too.
And their indoor/outdoor food and beverage bar is where I enjoyed some gluten-free vegan tostadas (they were delish). Their Impossible Burger is veg, but not gluten-free, or I would have definitely ordered it.
Once my belly was full, it was safe to shop. This is a sampling of what they had to offer. It makes me smile. (They even have a Michelin Star chef creating in-store seasonal meal kits.)
Fingers crossed that someday soon we'll be packaging food without plastic.
I also adored their cut flowers (giant peonies and roses were around the corner), plus lingering in their makeup aisle (where I indulged in some gluten-free and vegan palettes). Happiness.
Mindful moment: What a sweet spot to pause, sip tea, and grab a healthy snack—whether or not a grocery cart is involved. But if a grocery cart is involved? Hold on for some fun.
