After spending winter in Sun Valley, Idaho, then a month in the Nisqually Valley, it was time to head to Seattle to spend some time on a boat. Only I wasn't quite ready to spend some time on a boat (because that meant unpacking, cleaning, and getting organized again).
So I chose to roam around Seattle, take myself out to lunch, then walk into Habitude Salon, Spa, and Gallery. When I saw the book above, on Habitude's shelf, I knew the day had unfolded as it should have. Truth be told, it had been six months since I'd seen the inside of a salon.
I apologized to the stylist for having washed my hair in hard water, for it being out in salt water, and for it being completely wind-whipped (it was sticky, to say the least).
She wasn't bothered by it, not even a little bit. She noticed four inches needed to be chopped off (gulp) and I love it.
On my way to my pedicure, I may have fallen in love with those necklaces there, in the middle.
Thank goodness I had a kind pedicurist who forced me to sit back, relax, and sip tea. Apparently, I'm not the only person in the world who is afraid to have tools near her toes.
And I am so in love with these (in real life, quite shockingly fluorescent) orange tootsies.
